Oral examination

After the dissertation was accepted by the school council, you will receive an email from us with the names of the examining committtee members and a request to arrange a date and place for the exam.
You must inform us of the date and place of the exam as soon as you have arranged it (and not later than 10 days before the date), otherwise the exam will have to be postponed.
The doctoral examination should be, according to the official regulations, about one hour long – 30 minutes for the presentation of your doctoral research, the second half for the question of the examiners. The exam is usually held in German language and without public. By request (please contact the chair of your commission with it and let us know of the decision) it can be changed to English language and allow members of the public.
